Our beautiful twin lakes are lined with cedar trees, making them a rich red hue that sparkle in the setting sun each evening. We encourage guests to take one of the row boats out to explore all edges of the lake and try their luck catching large mouth bass, perch, sunfish, or crappies. Guests can get back to their summer camp roots and have a swim near the sand beach or try the 20-person paddle board in the middle of the lake.
If swimming with the fishes isn’t your thing, head to the pool where you can see your toes. This serene infinity-style pool overlooks the lake for breathtaking views. Enjoy the pillow-top lounge chairs, cedar-covered gazebo and built-in stone wet bar.
Enjoy pristine basketball and tennis hardcourts, plus impeccably maintained volleyball, kickball, softball and football fields. We also provide everyone’s favorite lawn games, like bocce, horseshoes, cornhole and ladder toss. Rainy days can be fun too, with every board game imaginable, plus giant Jenga, which can be enjoyed in the Canteen, Treehouse, or by the fire in the Pavilion.
Beyond the Estate, the Hudson Valley is home to some of New York State’s best restaurants, breweries, farms, antiquing, markets, distilleries, artisan shops, ski mountains, and breathtaking hikes. Our guest guide includes all of our favorite spots that make for the most memorable escape.
Guest GuideWe invite the more adventurous guests to hike up the mountain behind the lake and zipline down through the trees and into the water. The BLOB is everyone’s favorite: this giant balloon allows you to catapult your friend 20 feet into the air and into the lake.
Our general store, The Canteen, offers locally made goodies from Hudson Valley artisans. Take home handmade soaps, candles, copper flasks, and whittled wooden utensils. Or enjoy Hudson Valley honey or maple syrup made from trees right here on property. We also sell all of the necessities – freshly baked snacks, wine, beer, toiletries, games, blankets, towels, and camping tools.
With bistro tables and indoor lounges, The Canteen is also the best spot to hang out when you’re in need of some inside time. We welcome all guests at any time to come relax with us in the most fun building at Cedar Lakes.
